Brad Kramer has spent more than 25 years around airplanes — as a corporate pilot, a flight department manager, and for the past decade, an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner. Today he serves as Chief Pilot for one of Evansville, Indiana's leading companies, flying a Cessna Citation Sovereign, in addition to his work conducting practical tests for pilots throughout the region.

Brad is based in Evansville, Indiana, where he provides FAA practical tests and aviation services to applicants from across Indiana and the surrounding Midwest.

A Purdue University graduate with a degree in Aviation, Brad built his career managing corporate flight operations before becoming a Designated Pilot Examiner — a role that let him combine his operational experience with a passion for training the next generation of pilots.

As an examiner, Brad emphasizes scenario-based testing, practical application, sound aeronautical decision-making, and risk management rather than rote memorization. He believes applicants should be able to use available resources, explain their reasoning, and demonstrate the judgment expected of the certificate or rating they're seeking.
